Installing WinOLS 4.7 is a straightforward process, but it requires specific attention to configuration for optimal performance on modern operating systems like Windows 10 and 11. Installation Steps

• Folders: Set your default project folder where ECU files will be saved.
• Language: Confirm your preferred language is active.
• Checksums: Verify that the automatic checksum plugin is active. This is critical; without it, writing a file to an ECU can "brick" the unit.
• Layout: Adjust the hex-editor window and graph views to your preference.

Step 2 – Choose Language and Accept License

• The installer defaults to English. You may select German or French as well.
• Read the EULA (End User License Agreement). Check the box “I accept the agreement.”
• Click Next.

Step 5 – Install
