Today we’re shipping Revit 2020.2.9, a targeted hotfix that resolves three regressions introduced in the prior patch and improves stability for common multi-discipline workflows. This update is focused, low risk, and backwards-compatible: it installs quickly, requires no migration of existing models, and addresses issues users reported after 2020.2.8.

1. Close all Autodesk applications (including Navisworks and AutoCAD).
2. Download the executable from Autodesk Desktop Access or the Subscription Center (search Revit 2020.2.9 hotfix).
3. Right-click the .exe and select "Run as Administrator."
4. Wait for the extraction process (the window may appear frozen for 2 minutes—this is normal).
5. After completion, reboot your machine. (Crucial: The DLL updates require a full reboot; a simple restart of Revit is insufficient.)
