1. Detection & Search Modes

| Control | Label | Function | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Left Knob | VOLUME (PWR) | Turns the unit On/Off and adjusts speaker volume. | | Center Knob | DISCRIMINATION | Eliminates junk metals (iron, foil, pull tabs). | | Right Knob | SENSITIVITY | Adjusts how deep and how small a target is seen. | | Red Button | TUNE (Pinpoint) | Manual retune and momentary pinpoint mode. |

  1. Hold the detector with the coil 12 inches in the air, away from metal (floors, walls, your boots).
  2. Turn the VOLUME knob clockwise until you hear a faint "click." Continue turning to halfway (Level 4).
  3. Turn the SENSITIVITY to the 3 o'clock position (75%).
  4. Turn the DISCRIMINATION fully counter-clockwise to "0" (All Metal mode).
  5. Press the TUNE (red) button for 1 second. You should hear a low, steady "hum." This is the ground threshold.
  6. Lower the coil to the ground. Sweep side-to-side. If you hear a constant beeping, reduce Sensitivity by 1 notch.
