The list works, but I find no sources. eMule is a "slow" network designed for persistence, not speed. Leave a file downloading for 24-48 hours. The queue system rewards patience. Also, ensure you have both a server connection and Kad connected (firewalled status is fine for Kad).
Manually typing in IP addresses is tedious. Most power users use a server.met link to update their list automatically. Open eMule. Go to the Servers tab.
